Desker Pause
A lightweight daily nudge to move, stretch, and reset — for people who sit behind a screen all day.
If you work a desk job, you know the 4pm feeling: you’ve barely stood up. The research on sitting all day has gotten genuinely grim, and most fixes ask too much — another app, another account, another thing to manage. I built Desker Pause for myself because I wasn’t moving enough, and I wanted to keep gratitude and mindfulness in the picture too — not just squats and stretches. A few mindful minutes and a daily gratitude note nudge you from scarcity toward abundance — the research on both is hard to ignore.
It’s a deliberately simple habit tracker. A short daily list — move, stretch, a mindful moment, something you’re grateful for — that you check off as you go. Pin it to your desktop or bookmark it, and that’s the whole workflow. Everything lives in your browser; no servers, no accounts, no tracking.
The payoff is the streak. Doing small things consistently is what actually builds the habit, and keeping the chain alive turns out to be a surprisingly strong nudge — low effort, every day.
